Slow Joy at Mohawk Indoor - Concert Review
By Lauren Grover
Slow Joy packed out Mohawk’s indoor stage for a killer sold-out show delivering a high energy set with the crowd singing every word.
The band’s sold-out show at Mohawk’s indoor stage was everything a great Austin gig should be—loud, sweaty, and full of energy. But before they even hit the stage, local openers Nervous and Ritual set the tone for an unforgettable night.
When Slow Joy stepped on stage, the energy in the room hit a new level. The crowd was all in start to finish—shouting lyrics, swaying, and thrashing to the band’s signature mix of fuzzy grunge and melancholic lyrics. The highlight of the night was when the frontman, Esteban Flores, launched himself into the crowd, disappearing into a sea of screaming fans. The place erupted, turning an already exciting show into something even more chaotic and special. Between the killer local openers and Slow Joy’s explosive set, it was one of those nights that reminded everyone what it means to go to a show. If you were lucky enough to be there, you won’t forget it anytime soon.
